Space Trends, hosted by Wired Italia in an exclusive segment at Mediterranean Aerospace Matching 2024, united the Italian space sector at Italy's new Spaceport in Grottaglie. In the keynote address, Anna Hazlett explored emerging space trends, new entrants, and insights from the Gulf region, with a special focus on the UAE. Highlights included discussions with Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, European Space Agency - ESA, D-Orbit, MaiaSpace, Apogeo Space, Planetek Italia, ARGOTEC, REA Space, Voyager Space, Virgin Galactic, SITAEL, Jim Bridenstine, Federal Aviation Administration and Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom.
A showcase of Scotland's space sector with The Scottish Government First Minister Humza Yousaf, moderated by CEO of XPRIZE Anousheh Ansari and featuring AzurX founder Anna Hazlett alongside a selection of incredibly innovative business leaders representing the Space sector in Scotland and its international connections.
Inspired by the Dubai Airshow, the segment on DubaiOne TV features insights into the growth of the global space industry, commercial space travel and how AzurX is supporting the development and innovation of the global space sector from the UAE.
In partnership with the UAE space Agency, Dubai Airshow hosts a dedicated space programme, along with expanded space industry presence across the exhibition hall, featuring exciting space technology on static display, exclusive networking features, dedicated Space Delegation and much more.
Strategic Partners AzurX, AstroAgency and the National Space and Science Agency of Bahrain, delved into their collaboration ignited by the UK Space Agency International Bilateral Fund award. The panelists shared experiences, project outputs focused on Earth observation, and what the IBF enabled as the primary partners, AzurX and AstroAgency look to develop a UK-Gulf Space Bridge.
In celebration of International Women’s Day, the panel featured women who are shaping the Aviation and Space sector.

The partnership was formalized by a MOU signed by Hasan Al Hosani, MD of Bayanat, Bill Sullivan, Chairman of HySpecIQ, and Anna Hazlett, CEO of AzurX. AzurX, the United Arab Emirates’s leading space advisory firm, facilitated the partnership. Bayanat and AzurX are collaborating with the aim of enhancing the UAE’s space ecosystem capabilities and establishing global partnerships.

AzurX and AstroAgency have won the opportunity to develop an ambitious project that will see Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) collaborate with the UK’s pioneering space sector to boost knowledge sharing, technology transfer, trade and investment on both sides. The UK Space Agency announced the recipients to receive the first phase of its £20 million International Bilateral Fund investments.
UK minister to visit UAE to deepen ties with space industry

Anna Hazlett, chief executive of AzurX, told The National that it would be helping Blue Origin with its localisation strategy in the UAE, and would assist customers with space tourism flights and opportunities on Orbital Reef — a new private space station Blue Origin announced on Monday.
The planned Orbital Reef, could become Dubai's gateway to an address “off-world,” Anna Hazlett, an advisor for the project in the Middle East said.
The two sides discussed promoting collaboration to explore new investment opportunities in space economy and space tourism services firm.
The UAE and Blue Origin's plan focuses on developing the space economy environment in the country.
